II. The Priestess(The Black Tarot).
The Priestess is a powerful and secretive lady, who does not boast of her wealth, because she keeps it within her own mind, where an uninvited guest or greedy thief will not penetrate. White and black for it are equal in exactly the same way as defeat and victory are equal. Her kingdom is in silence and peace, where all the words are not uttered, and the breaths do not disturb the age-old dust.
The priestess is blind, she does not need to see the material world, her gaze is turned into the world of shadows. Priestess is not, she does not see the point in talking with the living, when she is talked about by the disembodied interlocutors, whispering to her the greatest secrets of the world. The priestess does not feel pain, does not know suffering, is not afraid of death, no matter how close it is - the future does not care for the Priestess, because her mind is always turned to the past.
Value in the direct position: secret knowledge; secret power;
silence; indefinite future.
The value in the inverted position: passivity, propensity to compromise; inability to adhere to a once-adopted decision.
A card that enhances the meaning: Ten Pentacles symbolizes a house that stably stands on a solid material basis, a house where there is no place for movement, everything has stopped, perhaps in a moment of destruction, fueled by the perfection of the moment, this is the Priestess's house, her lot.
A card that weakens the meaning: Eight of Wands - Arkan of active movement, speed, willingness to speak openly, which are directly opposite to the silent dominion of the Priestess.
A map that changes the meaning: A hermit means self-exploration in combination with closedness, with closeness in her inner world, along with him the Priestess does not remain silent, but speaks to herself and is not blind, but looks inside herself.
